Where capital delivers measurable outcomes.

Hasil is HBC's enterprise and finance practice. One mandate: turn capital into bankable enterprises, capable financial institutions and real jobs across Afghanistan. The name means yield. We judge the work by what it produces.

The premise

In frontier markets, capital alone is not the constraint. Delivery is. Bankable pipelines are built enterprise by enterprise. Literacy is taught face to face. Loan use is verified in the field, not from a capital city.

Hasil is the delivery layer between capital and the market, serving development finance institutions, apex lenders, banks, MFIs and development programmes, with Digital-X on technology and SynerGreen on climate finance.

Four pillars,
one accountable practice

What we do
01

Enterprise & MSME Growth

enterprises that win work and hire

Business planning, records and credit preparation. Supplier verification and enterprise profiling. Incubation and acceleration for startups and women-led firms. Matching grant design and administration. Tender readiness, procurement access and matchmaking with anchor buyers, so training converts into orders.

The yield: enterprises that win work, hire and grow, and that lenders can assess with confidence.

02

Financial Inclusion

products people trust enough to use

Shariah-compliant product advisory. Community financial literacy in Dari and Pashto. Digital financial services with Digital-X. Credit readiness for guarantee-backed lending, and first account to first credit journeys for youth, women and returnees, led by a 70% female field workforce.

The yield: first accounts, first credit, and products people trust enough to use.

03

Financial-Sector Strengthening

institutions that deploy capital

Capacity building for banks, microfinance institutions and apex lenders. SME and Shariah lending skills. MIS and core systems. Product development including solar and green finance with SynerGreen, and operational support to credit guarantee schemes and blended finance facilities, from design to field delivery.

The yield: institutions that can absorb capital and deploy it where it is needed.

04

Investment & Market Intelligence

decisions made on ground truth

Verified SME databases and enterprise surveys at province level. MSME ecosystem and 4Ws mapping. Value chain and sector assessments. Investment climate and business environment analysis. Pipeline origination for investors, DFIs and guarantee facilities, and independent programme evaluation.

The yield: allocation decisions made on primary data, not recycled estimates.

The Hasil model

Five shapes. Five stages.

Five shapes make the mark. Five stages make the model: how potential becomes yield. The gold shape is the last one, because the outcome is the point of everything before it.

The mark completes as the work does
01

Potential

An informal enterprise, a willing entrepreneur, a market gap. The raw material of every jobs and livelihoods programme.

02

Readiness

Records, plans, literacy and credit preparation. The unglamorous work that turns potential into something a lender can assess.

03

Capital

Connection to the formal system: loans, guarantees, matching grants and Shariah-compliant products, through institutions strengthened to deploy them.

04

Growth

Enterprises that hire, supply chains that deepen, women-led firms that scale. Verified in the field, district by district.

05

Outcome

Jobs created, incomes raised, inclusion measured. The hasil: the return that follows the work, measured and reported to institutional standards.
